My school path has shaped the systems-minded work I am building toward. Through engineering-focused coursework, professors, and classmates at UAH, I have learned to think more clearly about what matters in a system: the user, the requirements, the tradeoffs, and whether the solution can hold up in a real environment.

My background in restaurant leadership shapes how I think and how I build. I care about solving problems with the user in mind: whose time am I saving, whose day am I simplifying, and who has fewer headaches because the system works better? That mindset is part of how I continue to strive for operational excellence.

EZ3 Technologies

Three friends. Too many ideas.

EZ3 really started with my friends Andrew Barnes, Boyd Emmons, and me throwing ideas around and constantly saying, “We could make that.” Somehow, that was almost always followed by, “That would be easy.” We knew most of the time it probably would not be, but that became part of the joke and eventually part of the name.

All three of us are pretty like-minded when it comes to systems, software, and finding better ways to do things. EZ3 became a name for those ideas and something we could build under together. It may not be a traditional startup yet, but it represents what we want our work to stand for: taking an idea, figuring it out, and building something that actually helps someone.

The problems are not always easy. Our job is to make the solution feel like it is.
